Alexander Girard at Urban Outfitters
June 2, 2009 // Art + Design

The title says it all, Urban Outfitters will start carrying items like pillows and wall art by the amazing textile designer, Alexander Girard. While some may see this as blasphemy, I personally see it as an opportunity for people to learn about Gerard’s work and appreciate something they may have never known about. The collection launches in July and will feature bed sheets, pillows, drapes, shower curtains and wall art. You’ll basically be able to have an entire Alexander Girard themed house!

  1. I enjoy the work of Girard. The stuff House Ind. is producing is some really quality stuff. Reminds me a lot of the modern day Jonathan Adler.

  2. Makes a change UO not just stealing the designs and running them as their own

  5. Unfortunately, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie are owned by a Right Wing Billionaire who is exploiting all of us and giving our money to hate mongers like Rick Santorum.

  6. FLOR has a wonderful La Fonda Del sol rug kit in a variety of colorways: http://www.flor.com/service/flor/shop/collections/Girard.html?mv_arg=Girard_07 for a reasonable $160 – they’re recycleable modular floor tiles, so you can arrange them any way you want.
