Tomorrow’s date, at least for those of who display their date in this American(?) way, is a once in a century occurrence. Well, I guess it happens twice in one day, but still… At 12:34 and 56 seconds, on 07/08/09, the date will align to technically be 123456789. Dorky, but I thought it was a funny thing to think of, especially because of most of you won’t live to see it. I will though, as I’ll have my brain transplanted to a robot body waaaaay before then.

Very cool. :)

That’s pretty cool :) Before reading though, I thought the picture was of some awesome glowing fridge magnets and I got excited…I don’t know if that is dorkier than the subject :P

The zeroes kind of spoil it. They could be dropped, except for the one in the year, to make it better – but the zero in the year still kills it.
Not a once-in a century thing, though. Ten years ago we had a much better one where even zero had a proper place: 01:23:45 6/7/89.
In 81 years will be another one: 12:34:56 7/8/90.

Neat, but not nearly as cool (ad geeky) as Unix 1234567890 day (the number of seconds since the unix epoch, 1/1/1970), which was Feb 13.
