There isn’t much (or any) information about these iPhone mock-ups by Fedra Malara but they definitely caught my eye. What I’ve interpreted it as is a redesigned lock screen, giving you all pertinent information without having to unlock your phone or access any programs. It’s definitely an interesting idea and something I’m sure Apple will get to eventually, but I’m not gonna hold my breath.

I think the colors are interesting though maybe not my first choices. I also love the playfulness of the type, with several different weights and sizes to create distinctions between the information presented. My guess would be that you would click on a certain section and it would expand, displaying the relevant info. While this may not be perfect I think it’s well executed and overall fun to think about.

  1. I would really like this. It would be perfect for on-the-go. I wonder if there is a way to develop this type of program… people “jailbreak” their phones all the time for programs that aren’t supported by the app store.

  2. the colors are great, but it’s needs to be toned down. your eye goes everywhere at once…it’d be cool to see it mocked up with only the features in focus in color and the others grayed out with some orange as small highlights. i’m loving it though – would def get an iphone for something like that
