Hey hey it’s Monday and I’ve got a pretty rad Mixcast to share with you today. It’s filled with a ton of new music so hopefully there’s a lot of new and exciting stuff. It’s kind of amazing how many bands are releasing new albums in the next month or so, and I think you’ll get a sense if it once you take a listen.

I hope you dig the Mixcast and if you have any suggestions for a theme next week let me know in the comments.

Here’s this week’s tracklist:
Truth Sets In by Avi Buffalo
Way Back Home by Band of Horses
Golden Age by Beach Fossils
Up in the Dark by The New Pornographers
Sinister Kid by The Black Keys
Afraid of Everyone by The National
Tomorrow Tomorrow by Joel P West and the Tree Ring
Unbearable Why by Dr. Dog
Maps Not Accurate by Uninhabitable Mansions
Pistols by Throw Me The Statue
The Tree (feat. Alela Diane) by Blitzen Trapper
Winter ‘05 by Ra Ra Riot
Beautiful Morning Light by Fruit Bats

  6. Unbearable Why is beyond my jam!
Because that Dr. Dog song is so good, and because summer’s coming, I think next week’s theme should be dogs!

  7. Hey, I don’t know how much you listen to straight up folk/acoustic (bordering on country), but you should check out Joe Pug, if you haven’t already. He recently came out with a new album, but his EP “Nation of Heat” is definitely worth it. The song “Hymn #101″ is a great, great track. The boy knows how to write a song, that’s for sure.

    Peace,
    Allison

  8. @ARADIOHEAD / FOLLOWMYRUSE, That album leaked like a week ago atleast.

In fact almost all this shit is off ‘big’ albums that have leaked (a while ago/ dosen’t everbody already have these songs)

  9. Hey Bobby
I’m just downloading this mixtape but wanted to drop you a line and tell you that you’re fab. I love listening to your mixtapes. They open up lots of music that I might not otherwise get to listen to. So thanks heaps and heaps.

  10. I think you should make a really rockin’ party mixcast. I always want to have a really awesome mix to put on during my parties but I never have the time to do it myself. I’m sure yours would be fantastic.

  11. Hey Bobby, absolutely top mixcast. If you haven’t checked them out already try Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, their track ‘Home’ is fantastic. I’d also recommend checking out a track called ‘I Want A House’ by Twin Sister… The later is currently a free download over at Lastfm. Hope you’re well mate.
