The Last Stand
April 30, 2007 | Categories: Games

The Last Stand is a totally addicting shooter game. Set in a bleak, 28 Days Later-esque setting, you must survive against hordes of zombies each night, craving to eat your brains! But you can search for other survivors and weapons to help you in your last ditch effort.
It’s a relatively simple idea, but the execution and art make this truly a fun game to play. There are wide variety of weapons to choose from, my favorite being the hunting rifle, and then the shotgun. The are also a ton of different types of zombies, like priests, cops, grandmas, brutish cheerleaders, army guys and even a clown.
Sadly the game is quite short, but it is free, so hopefully they’ll make a sequel to it soon!

Pietari Posti
April 29, 2007 | Categories: Art

Pietari Posti is a Finnish born illustrator currently working in Barcelona.
I found his work through Poketo, where he had a few wallets on sale, though sadly they’re all sold out. His work reminds me a lot of Ashley Wood, though with a lot more amazing colors, but less gratuitous tit shots.
He also has a shop where you can order any of his pieces from his site. I love that you’re free to order anything, instead of the usual 2 or 3 pieces on most artist’s sites.
I put a few more of the pieces I really liked after the cut, so check ‘em out.

Airplanes
April 29, 2007 | Categories: Photography
I found this picture on Everyone Forever and thought it was amazing.
It seems like an easy enough thing to do, but wouldn’t that take a really long time? I mean, there are a lot of planes in that picture.
It was taken by a guy known as ’superlocal’, who has a Flickr account and is a guest blogger for Poketo.

Super F*ckers
April 28, 2007 | Categories: Art

I love James Kochalka.
I found him through his Sketchbook Diaries, a day to day retelling of Kochalka’s life through comic format. It was basically all the tiny personal details that a lot of people don’t talk about. That led me to collecting them all, and then stumbling upon Super F*ckers, his “newest” project.
You can got to Top Shelf and preview all of the issues, to give you a sneak peak for what you’re in for (which is basically a lot of cussing and wieners).

Wonderwall Updates
April 27, 2007 | Categories: Architecture

Wonderwall, the Japanese architecture and interior design, is one of my biggest inspirations and has been for a couple years now. Instead of building just a building, why not build an entire experience for people? That’s how I translate Wonderwall’s outlook on design.
They consistently create amazing spaces, and are constantly pushing the boundaries of design.
They just recently updated their website with a few new projects, but I’m guessing most people have never even heard of these guys. They are the people I strive to be like.
