The Fat Farm Bill

This is a really interesting article concerning the farm bill, something that I had no real knowledge of before reading this.
I guess it basically gives farmers money based on how much of their crop they grow. But it’s sort of become twisted and being used to fund the junk food industry more than anything.
In the article they use the point of, why is it cheaper to by a pack of Twinkies then a bunch of carrots? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? It also goes into detail about how the bill effects other countries, immigration issues, and how we’re all getting fatter because of it.

Really interesting read.
