Geoff McFetridge’s Bend The Void Booklet
June 25, 2007 | Categories: Art / Books / Design

I’m obsessed with Geoff McFetridge, I can’t help it! He has to be one of the most creative people alive right now.
In conjunction with his new exhibit ‘Bend The Void: The Space Between Yeah and Yes’ at MU in Eindhoven, Netherlands, indie publishing house Nieves has released a 16 page, full color book showcasing some of the work from the exhibit. And it’s only $14!

Musicians Are Cowards / A Kitsune Noir Mix
June 25, 2007 | Categories: Music

I’ve been wanting to share some of the mixes that I’ve made over the last couple years, and because of some recent circumstances (good ones), I’ve decided to finally do it.
This mix is called Musicians Are Cowards, inspired by A Silver Mt. Zion song that’s on the mix. It’s a really folk-y mix, with some sort of obscure songs on there, hopefully some of you will be able to find some new exciting bands to listen to!
Here’s the track list:
1) Maremaillette / A Hawk And A Hacksaw
2) Brother / Annuals
3) Ultimatum / The Long Winters
4) Start Wearing Purple / Gogol Bordello
5) Til’ The End of Time / Devotchka
6) Ancient Curse / Peter Bjorn and John
7) Spider’s House / Califone
8) Kept Our Hands Warm / The Robot Ate Me
9) Lying in the Snow / The Bees
10) Interior of a Dutch House / Beirut
11) The Triumph of Our Tired Eyes / A Silver Mt. Zion
12) Red Rabbits / The Shins
This will last for 7 days from now, or 100 downloads. I figure I can host it somewhere else if people REALLY like it, but I’ll cross that bridge if I get to it.
I have several more mixes that I’ll share along the way as well, so keep an eye out!

Ewok Bearbricks
June 25, 2007 | Categories: Art / Design

Hahahaha… these are so ridiculously cool. Ewok’s may have been the worst part of the original trilogy, but I’d take them over that shit Jar Jar Binks anyday. And I think Medicom agrees with me because they’re releasing the mega cute Ewok Bearbricks you see above.
The orange one, on the right end, could very well be the cutest thing ever. I wouldn’t be sad if my baby turned out like that.

Mini Munny Mobile Custom Car Show
June 25, 2007 | Categories: Art / Design

Kid Robot is having a new customization contest, this time featuring their newest creation, the Mini Munny Mobile! It’s an awesome little car that comes with 4 mystery accessories, and mini Munny to drive it. I totally want the bubble to go over the top of the Munny, like the Jetsons’ car!
Contest ends July 23rd, so hurry up and get going!
I think I’ll convince Jeff to make one with me, so we’ll post our creations when we finish ‘em!

Totem Doppleganger
June 25, 2007 | Categories: Art / Design

I saw these at Urban Outfitters and thought they were kinda’ fun. Totem Doppleganger is the creation of Anton Ginzburg who displayed them at an installation at the Moscow Biennial of Contemporary Art in 2006. These are a little miniature version that you can stack in your home!
They’re on sale online for $15, not too shabby!

The Little Friends of Printmaking
June 25, 2007 | Categories: Art / Blogs / Design

After mentioning The Little Friends of Printmaking in the last post, I had to give them they’re own post! Little Friends are a husband and wife team based out of Wisconsin, and make some really bad ass posters. They have a ton of posters for sale on their site, and their all around $20, so go do some more spending and help these awesome folks out!
And be sure to check out their blog as well, which gets updated more often!

We’re Rollin’, They’re Hatin’
June 25, 2007 | Categories: • T-shirts / Art / Blogs / Clothing / Design / Photography

We’re Rollin, They’re Hatin’ was a huge, month long, Dungeons and Dragons based art show that happened in Chicago from April 20th to May 20th. My friend Riley, who is also the Dungeon Master in the AMAZING fantasy television series, Dungeon Majesty, filled me in on it this weekend. There’s just so much to talk about, it’s almost overwhelming!
Basically, they got together over 30 amazing artists like the aforementioned Dungeon Majesty, Noah Butkus, Maya Hayuk, Cody Hudson, Paper Rad, Little Friends of Printmaking, Steven Harrington, and Justin Kreitemeyer.
I wish I would have been able to see this, it looks like it would be such a fuckin’ blast!
You can check out lots of pictures of the show at Stugrock’s Flickr, and the Little Friends of Printmaking have a set up as well!
They also had their t-shirts printed by Threadless, which are still on sale, so go by some! Your mother would love one!
You can also get the catalog and show zine which is printed on 17 x 22″ newsprint in purple ink! It has artwork from 17 of the artists in the show, and looks like it would be so rad. And it’s only $5!

I hate all of those guys from National Forest.
Okay, that’s actually not true at all, I’m insanely jealous of all of the rad projects they do. Justin Kreitemeyer is one of them, and he’s an absolute slice of amazing. Above is one of the designs he worked on for a demolition derby he was a part of. That’s just pink house paint on the car! So simple, and so effective.
