OCTOSQUID!!
Posted: July 5, 2007

A possible new species has been discovered off of the Big Island of Hawaii, a cephalopod that appears to be a mix between a squid and an octopus. It’s totally an octosquid! It looks soooo rad!

But my first reaction?
I wonder what it tastes like… hahahahaha…

  1. You’re a brave man. :P

Just so you know, I created a LiveJournal account for the RSS feed of your blog at http://kitsunenoir.livejournal.com/ — mostly because I check my LJ obsessively and then suck at remembering to actually go to websites, so. In case you want to direct any of your other readers toward that, there it is.

  2. I remember reading an article in the weekend paper about an island where a bunch of jelly-fish have been land-locked in a salt water lake for so long that they have lost their sting. Islanders were inviting people to come swim with the jellyfish… kind of gives me the shivers though.

  4. Hope you like our “octosquid”. It is has been further classified as an un-described species and may ultimately find its way to the Smithsonian for other scientists to examine. We are excited about the find and plan to sample the screens more often. Two years ago we discovered a new genus of fish. This is major “rad” in the world of biology. Aloha from Kona
