Sony Bravia Play-Doh Rabbits
October 5, 2007 | Categories: Art / Design / Films
The new Sony Bravia commercial is out and it looks amazing. It features a ton of brightly colored bunnies running all over the streets of New York, eventually turning into a tidal wave, pieces of ice, a whales tail, and then into a giant bunny. And it’s all done to the wonderful Rolling Stones song, She’s A Rainbow.
Update:

Turns out the commercial might not be the most original of ideas.
From Kozyndan’s livejournal:
Its hard to think that people at Passion Pictures did not have this early panoramic of ours in mind when they created this new spot for the SONY Bravia line.
To add insult to injury, someone from Passion Pictures contacted us almost two years ago asking to see samples of our work (including this panoramic) as they were interested in working with us. We sent them samples and then heard nothing from them ever again. (It should be noted though, that the more likely culprit is the ad firm who hired Passion Pictures, Fallon)
Bobby

ugh. how often does THAT happen? i was so psyched on that commercial too..until you posted that…
ah well..such is the creative life.

yeah i was just talking to this guy who works for a graphic design clothing company and he said if you don’t want stuff like that to happen to you from big business companies, you need to make a contract before hand because that’s what usually ends up happening if you don’t. :/
