Then plug in your iPhone which opens iTunes. In the iPhone menu in iTunes there are a bunch of tabs, you'll want to click photos. Then tick the box that says 'Sync photos from:', and choose the folder titled 'Backgrounds' (or whatever you titled your folder). I choose to sync all of the images, then you should click the Sync button in the bottom right-hand corner. There's kind of a lot there, but it's pretty easy, I promise!
