RRL & Co. | Ralph Lauren Pop Up Shop
Posted: January 12, 2009 // Architecture + Clothing + Design

My roommate Garrett mentioned the other day that a new shop had opened up between Fred Segal and the Improv place on Melrose, so after my lunch I headed over to see what it was. Turns out it’s a Ralph Lauren RRL shop that opened up around Halloween. The RRL line is kind of like a fancier throwback like to the regular Ralph Lauren, more 50’s motorcycle culture than polo.
The space was pretty amazing, as it was a converted automotive shop, something I posted about that’s a rising trend in the world of boutiques. I managed to snag a few pics of the inside, then asked one of the guys behind the counter if it was cool, and he told me I wasn’t supposed to. Whoops! Anyhow, check out the snaps, they really filled this place up with old-timey stuff. It’s too bad that everything is so expensive, they had some fun things for sale.

I remember they used to have a RRL store on Melrose between Crescent Height and La Cienega but it closed down 4-5 years ago. Never bought anything there as its pretty pricey for what it is but I did like the look of what they had back then.
