Goodmorning Technology
August 1, 2007 | Categories: Advertising / Design

Based out of Copenhagen, Denmark, Goodmorning Technology is a design studio with some pretty rad looking work. The top image is a logo design for a theater, and the bottom image is packaging for hearing aids. How awesome would it be to get hearing aids in a box like that? It’s looks like an Apple level of styling. I know I’d want to wear them more if they came in a sick package like that.

Check out the photography of Ramona Rosales, a California photographer who has a pretty good sense of humor.
The top image above is from a Small Paul ad, which is absolutely amazing! In fact, everything I’ve seen of the Small Paul advertising has been simply wonderful!

Platinum Design

WOW.
Words simply don’t do justice to the amazing portfolio of work Platinum has. Based out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Platinum creates digital masterpieces for advertising clients, and I have to say, it’s some of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.
When you first go to the site, it’s kind of bland, and the portfolio pops into a full screen window, but bear with it, I absolutely guarantee you’ll be amazed!

Round.

Round is an Australian design company who does some FANTASTIC work. A lot of design companies these days kind of fit into the same little niche, but I really feel like Round is doing an incredible job of being creative and lively.
But most of all, they love what they do, which is the best attitude you can possibly have.

Real Life Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart!

Okay, here’s another Simpsons post, but I’m pretty sure this promotion tops all of the others. Eleven 7-11s are being turned into genuine Kwik-E-Marts like the ones featured in the cartoon. They’re being stocked with authentic Simpsons stuff, like Squishees, Krusty-O’s, Buzz Cola, and the trademark pink sprinkled donuts Homer Simpson loves so much. The store featured above is in Burbank, California, and is going to be a Kwik-E-Mart for an entire month.
LAist has a whole lot more pictures here, as does this Flickr account here.
This is truly advertising at it’s finest and most fun.

BBDO New York has created some new ads for BBC Worlds arrival in America. Pretty clever stuff, and the photographs work so perfectly with the campaign.

Design a Pepsi Can
June 13, 2007 | Categories: Advertising / Design

I personally think this is one of the worst promotions ever.
Pepsi has been running the ‘You Design a Can For Us!’ campaign for a while now, and the finalists have been chosen, as seen in the pictures above. This feels like the 2012 Olympic logo debacle all over again, with the cans reflecting the taste of the average American, albeit not quite as influential as the Olympic logo. None of the designs are particularly creative, although I find the 2nd and 4th one particularly offensive. These were the best designs out of 100,000?! Sad, sad times.

David Rager

Talk about an awesome job… David Rager seems to be the MOCA Los Angeles’ go to guy for everything advertising related for all of the big shows for the last, let’s say, 2 years? And with good reason too, the man has some really awesome designs under his belt.
Check out his great work!

Night Drive

This beautiful spot for the VW Golf is so pleasant and relaxing for a rainy LA day.
The voice-over is Richard Burton from the film, Under Milk Wood, and the music is by Cliff Martinez, ex-Captain Beefheart drummer turned film composer.
