The Desktop Wallpaper Project Gets Name Dropped!

I noticed early this morning that I was getting a steady flow of traffic from a site called Ehrensenf, something that I’d never heard of before, but I was still half-awake so I didn’t really bother to check into it anymore than that. After sufficiently waking up though I visited the site and saw there was a video, but it was all in German. So I decided to watch the video, and what do you know, around 2:20 in they talk about The Desktop Wallpaper Project… and then they say my name. I start laughing hysterically and dance around the room. Hearing your name in an online German show is quite possibly the most awesome thing ever, it totally made my day today.

I asked my friend FW to translate it for me and this is what it roughly says:

Why should you put art on the wall when you can have them for free on the internet at the website of Bobby Solomon where you get high quality wallpapers by artists and designers every Wednesday?

I would have loved to hear her say Kitsune Noir, that would have been incredible.

Emailing Me + Other Odds and Ends

Good morning everyone, hopefully you all had an awesome weekend! It got pretty hot here in Los Angeles, but I personally love the hot weather, I don’t do well with the cold at all.

It came to my attention last week that the email address on my contact and advertising page wasn’t working, which really freaked me out. I’m guessing for the last 3 to 4 months that address hasn’t worked. The point being, if you emailed me at hello@kitsunenoir.com and I didn’t get back to you, it wasn’t my fault, so stop hating me. The proper address is thefoxisblack@gmail.com, so be sure to write that down. I always try to write all of you back, no matter what sort of weird things you guys send.

I’m also gonna try and post some photos of my apartment soon-ish as well, we’re still putting away some boxes because we’re down to the crap we don’t want to throw away but don’t know where to put. Alright, back to blogging.

1000 Posts

I feel like I’ve been talking about the blog itself too much as of lately, so I’m thinking this is gonna be one of the last ego-centric posts like this I do for a while. As of yesterday I wrote my 1000th blog post, which to me is something of a miracle. I don’t think I’ve ever written as much in my entire life as I have in this blog.

I think what really makes this important to me is that unlike some blogs out there, I actually WRITE things, not just post a random link with a pretty picture. If I did do that, I’d probably be on post 3000 or something crazy, I come across plenty of shit every day to post 20 things a day. But I prefer to talk about things, tell you all what I like about them and hopefully you guys enjoy them as well. So here’s to another 1000 posts, and hopefully I can make it to 10,000 in less than 10 years, haha…

I also wanted to let you guys know that I’ll start sending out your magazines next week. There’s a lot to send out, so be prepared to get a FedEx package from yours truly. And a big thank you yet again to everyone who took the survey! I must admit though, that I thought more of you British readers would have taken the survey. The Canadians totally kicked your collective English ass!

Take A Survey About Kitsune Noir

Update: Wow! Thank you all so much for helping me out like this! I wanted to let everyone know that all of the magazines have been spoken for, but if you haven’t taken the survey please do!

It’s not often that I ask you guys to do something for me, the point of the blog is for me to fill you all in on interesting ideas. But now I need your help. Since +KN keeps growing though, I need to a little bit more about you you readers so that I can continue to make Kitsune Noir grow and stay awesome. So what I’ve done is created a 10 question survey that gives me some basic info about you all, and what you think about the site. It literally should take you all of 2 minutes, 5 minutes tops. If it takes you longer then that you might not have limbs or you’re potentially suffering from a stroke. It’s mega easy.

The cool part of the quiz though (for those of you who live in the United States) is that at the end you can fill in your address and I’ll send you a copy of the newest issue of Beautiful Decay. Seriously, all you have to do is like check 10 boxes and you get free shit. My friend Sasha over at Beautiful Decay was nice enough to ship me like 100 issues to give away for this, so be sure to fill it out ASAP!

For those of you who don’t live in the United States, I’d still REALLY like you to take the survey. I’m sorry we can’t ship to another country, it would just be mega-expensive to ship somewhere like Egypt or something. I also want to mention that I’m the only person who sees the info provided in the survey. It’s not going to be sold or given away to anyone, I wouldn’t even know who to sell it to in the first place! haha… If you have any sort of beef over this, sorry, them’s the breaks.
