I’m really glad to be posting again, especially when it’s something rad like new Os Gemeos work. The photos are from an old Lithuanian art school that looks like it could use some Os Gemeos love. Once again they don’t fail to impress. I love the pattern of the guys pants in the picture above. All of the small details in their work is so amazing.

Is it weird that I think Os Gemeos should have their own Adult Swim cartoon? I could totally see it now. It would have animation like Tekkonkinkreet , a thumping, Brazialian soundtrack, and could have a plot similar to City of God.
It would be dark, gritty, realistic, and amazing!

1. Delightful. The last is my favourite, but the adults/children are so captivating. They’re more portraiture than caricature, but there’s still a playfulness about them. The man in the second photo with the fur-collared bomber looks like all of my male relatives in eastern europe rolled into one.

3. I was able to see Beautiful Losers over the summer, it was really great. The parts with Margaret Kilgallen made me cry.

   It’s too bad I can’t embed the trailer into the blog.

6. tja, that’s why i can’t recognize the places in the photos /i’m from vilnius/. any ideas if they will come to vilnius? i must go to kaunas to watch the paintings if they will be still there. pls suggest where should i look for them? -tks in advance. thanx kitsune for posting. and yes it is a bit like tekkonkinkreet. very warm.
